About Nordic Knowledge Partners (NKP)

NKP is the leading knowledge broker in the Nordics and we are on a mission to provide top-tier professionals with frictionless secure access to the world's most valuable knowledge - wherever it resides. Corporations, consultancies and investment firms based in and outside of the Nordics rely on Nordic Knowledge Partners' sector- and market-agnostic ability to connect them with subject-matter experts at short notice.

We are a new breed of knowledge partner with extremely high ambitions. We are planning to become the leading global brand in supporting clients with access to unique expertise and insights world-wide. This entails an explosive growth, including rapid expansion to new geographies as we establish ourselves globally. Crucial to this is getting the right talent involved.

NKP is organized after the classic management consulting model, where we believe in mentoring and providing opportunities for employees to grow and take on responsibility, as soon as they are ready for it. There are no artificial barriers to growth and we are looking for applicants who are talented, eager to learn, and able to develop.

The opportunity

As NKP continues its growth, we are looking for analysts who are excited about being part of this journey. This is an opportunity to understand at a very detailed level what private equity and strategy work entails, as well as learning the methodology used by strategy consultants during commercial due diligences and transformative corporate strategy projects.

You will get insight into the key strategic decision of large corporates, the cutting edge technological changes across industries, as well as an understanding of what a private equity or corporate M&A team is looking for in an investment.

The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that our clients are serviced with the right level of expertise throughout the investment and strategy lifecycle, where a deep understanding of the client is key to success. Furthermore, this is a fantastic opportunity to get exposure to very senior stakeholders at a very early stage of your career.

The day-to-day role of an analyst includes:

  • Participating in calls with our top-tier clients
  • Researching industries to understand dynamics and key players
  • Identifying relevant experts within the industry and interviewing them
  • Approaching potential subject-matter experts for consultations
  • Assisting the associate team(s) with business development
  • Being pro-active in developing ideas to provide added value to the clients
  • Screening Nordic news sources for potential M&A targets and writing the NKP M&A Newsletter to clients

As we are still a young and growing company the day-to-day is never fully predictable and there is always a range of ad hoc tasks to be picked up.

The team at NKP

The management at Nordic Knowledge Partners is Andreas von Buchwald, formerly an investment manager with private equity firm Axcel.

It is a young and dynamic team, currently counting four different nationalities. We celebrate our big wins in style and have fun in our day-to-day life. We have our own offices on Dampfærgevej at the seaside of Østerbro, in a recently renovated, very spacious building with a nice view over the harbor.

The candidate

We are looking to hire top-performers with great energy and a good sense of humor. As we are working with clients with incredibly high standards, we also need candidates with extreme attention to detail and the ability to deliver at a high level. We work in a fast-paced environment.

The abilities we are looking for in our candidates are:

  • Top academic performance in class
  • Professional fluency in English and either Finnish or German
  • Strong analytical skillset and a natural problem solver
  • High-performer with a great work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and must possess a strong can-do attitude
  • Fire in his/her eyes and a desire to help build a global company
  • Business acumen – you need to understand the importance of a sale, and what drives a business
  • Crucially, we are looking for a person who will fit in with our light-hearted atmosphere

The role is part-time, and we aim for 20 hours a week, but some days and weeks will be longer as we adapt to our clients’ often busy schedules and workflows as necessary. We are a well-funded young company with a well-proven business model and we pay competitive wages.
