June 4, 2018

DFDS has received the Turkish competition authorities for the purchase of 98.8 percent of the shares of the leading Turkish operator of freight routes in the Mediterranean, U.N. Ro-Ro, for DKK 7.1bn. "With the acquisition of UN Ro-Ro, we are expanding to one of Europe's most attractive freight markets, operating in a similar manner to Northern Europe. This enables us to utilize our network, fleet, experience and skills, together with U.N. Ro-Ro's current leadership, to develop the company further" says Niels Smedegaard, CEO of DFDS.
