Equinor has exercised its preferential rights to acquire 22.45 pct. of Caesar Tonga oil field from Shell for a total consideration of USD 965m in cash. Equinor now controls 46 pct of the oil field which makes them majority shareholder. No financial of the deal has been disclosed.
