Abacus Medicine rumored to IPO on Frankfurt exchange (Borsen)
According to sources close to Borsen, Abacus Medicine will IPO in Frankfurt. The company is valued around 1.5B DKK according to sources and the reason for picking Frankfurt is several previous successful IPOs in the same industry. Abacus Medicine only generates revenue from importing medicine at lower prices, but capital from the IPO will be invested in new areas. Nordea and Commerzbank will assist on the IPO.

Verdane to buy Hylte Jakt och Lantman and Maskincenter Blekinge (Breakit)

Verdane Capital is about to acquire Hylte Jakt och Lantman, a Swedish physical and e-commerce store, as well as Maskincenter Blekinge. Afterward, both companies will be merged into a single firm where Anders Carlsson - former CEO of Hylte Jakt och Lantman - will be the CEO. The transaction value of Hylte Jakt och Lantman is rumored to be around 250M SEK. The combined revenue of both companies will be around 300M SEK and will be considering future acquisitions to strengthen the group.

Wintershall and DEA to merge (Press Release)

BASF and LetterOne have agreed to merge Wintershall (subsidiary of BASF) and DEA (subsidiary of LetterOne), to create a leading independent oil and gas company. The future name of the company will be Wintershall DEA and the combined business had a pro-forma revenue of 4.7B EUR and EBITDA of 2.8B EUR. The merger is expected to provide 200M EUR of cost synergies per year, following a closing of the transaction in 2019.  

Kvitebjørn Energi AS acquires Bio-El Fredrikstad AS (Press Release)  

Kvitebjørn Energi AS has agreed to acquire Bio-El Fredrikstad AS from Hafslund AS. Bio-El Fredrikstad is an energy recovery facility that produces 135 GWh of energy. Hafslund is government-owned and Kvitebjørn Energi AS is owned by the industrial investment company Daimyo AS. The transaction price was not disclosed.


- Finland -

Posti Group acquires Suomen Transval Groupin (talouselama)  

Finnish Posti Group has agreed to acquire Suomen Transval Groupin, a Finnish company specializing in streamlining logistics operations through outsourcing. Transval had a revenue of 148M EUR in 2017 and had 3500 employees, mostly across Finland. The acquisition rationale was mainly new growth areas as well as some cost synergies.

Delete Sweden acquires two companies from European Hydro Demolition (Press Release)  

Delete Sweden AB, subsidiary of Finnish Delete Group Oyj has agreed to acquire Waterjet Stockholm and W-tech from European Hydro Demolition AB. Waterjet Stockholm and W-tech specialize in infrastructure services, including bridge, garage, tunnel, and car park maintenance. The two companies had a combined revenue of 10M EUR and 28 employees.
