Bonnier acquires leading health portal Netdoktor in Denmark (Borsen)

“The acquisition of Netdoktor in Denmark is a vital step in our strategy to gradually expand and deepen our position within digital health publishing”, says Fredrik Andersson, Global Director Healthcare and Pharma at Bonnier AB. Netdoktor is Denmark’s leading health portal with 2 million visits pr. month. Netdoktor Media A/S has for the last three years been owned by CEO Rikke Esbjerg, and investors Jamie Brammer and Mikael Vissing, who in 2015 sold their healthcare software business Avaleo to KMD.

Heartland to make major investment in British Funding Circle Ltd. (Borsen)

Danish Retail billionaire, Anders Holch Povlsen has through his investment company Heartland invested up to DKK 1,4bn for a 10% stake in the UK based online loan provider Funding Circle. Funding Circle initially grew as a so-called peer-to-peer lender that matched retail investors and small companies on its website. It now has 1.9% of the small- and medium-sized enterprise lending market in the UK. Funding Circle plans to proceed with an initial public offering in the near future.

Danfoss acquires Finnish niche company Axco-Motors (Borsen)

Axco-Motors Oy and Danfoss have signed an asset deal regarding the transfer of operations and personnel of Axco to be integrated into Danfoss. With the acquisition of AXCO-Motors, a technology leader in large electric solutions for applications like maritime vessels and off-highway vehicles, Danfoss has strengthened its global position within mobile electrification. The financial terms of the deal have not been revealed.

Bilia makes strategic acquisition of a BMW dealer in Belgium (Press Release)

Bilia AB has today reached an agreement to acquire a BMW and MINI dealer in Flandern, Belgium. The operations are run in the companies Verstraeten NV and Gent Store by Verstraeten BVBA. The companies had during the last three years a yearly turnover of about SEK 750m and an operating profit of approximately SEK 40m. The number of employees amounts to around 60 persons. The operation’s capital employed, plus agreed-on surplus values, amounts to about SEK 270m.

Humana expands to Denmark with acquisition of StøtteCompagniet (Cision)

Humana AB acquires StøtteCompagniet ApS, a small company that provides specialized outpatient care services in the individual and family care segment in Denmark. Through the acquisition, Humana takes its first step into the Danish care market. StøtteCompagniet, which has around 60 employees reported a gross profit of DKK 13m with an EBIT of DKK 592.000 in 2017.

Verdane to acquire two companies from Skagerak Maturo (Finansavisen)

Verdane Capital IX has closed a transaction with Skagerak Maturo containing Skagerak Venture Capital I’s and Skagerak Seed Capital II’s ownership in Zisson AS, a provider of cloud-based communication center software, and Penetrace AS, a provider of software tools to marketing professionals. The deal values the two companies at around NOK 150m.

Antin Infrastructure Partners acquires Sølvtrans AS (ilaks)

AIP acquires Sølvtrans AS from the asset management company, Oaktree Capital Management. The Ålesund based shipping company operates the world's largest well-boat fleet with 21 vessels and operates in Norway, Scotland, Chile and Australia. Oaktree delisted the shipping company in 2014 and has in the following years experienced a strong growth both organically and through acquisitions. Sølvtrans AS reported revenues of NOK 740m with EBT of NOK 214m.

ÅF acquires Profil-Bau Industrial Oy in Finland (Press release)

ÅF is a Nordic market leader in industrial engineering and automation. The acquisition is in line with ÅF’s strategy to extend its offering and complement ÅF’s current energy business in Finland. Profil-Bau is specialized in electrical, automation and mechanical design. Main customer segments include power and industrial plants, mining industry, cable machinery industry, chemical industry and engineering industry. The company has annual sales of SEK 60m and 70 employees.

Neste closes acquisition of Dutch animal fat trader Demeter (Cision)

In May 2018 it was announced that engineering service company, Neste intends to acquire 51% shares of IH Demeter B.V., a trader of animal fats and proteins. The acquisition has now been approved by regulatory authorities, and the deal has been closed. As a result of the deal the company will be called Neste Demeter B.V.

Fast Display merges with Finnish PixMill (Goodnewsfinland)

The Estonian digital printing house Fast Display has merged with the Finnish printing house PixMill, which specializes in large-format printing. PixMill is one of the largest printing houses in Finland, established in 2007 and employing 69 people. Fast Display’s entire personnel and production will be organized under PixMill Estonia. The price is undisclosed.
