NNIT acquires Valiance Partners for USD 25m (Press Release)

NNIT acquires all shares in Valiance Partners, a computer software and services data migration company primarily for the life sciences industry. The deal value is disclosed at USD 25m with an additional USD 10.7m earn-out model. NNIT strengthens and withholds its market leading service within IT and life science industry.

Apple acquires Danish IT company Spektral for DKK 200m (Borsen)

The American tech giant Apple has acquired the Danish company Spektral for DKK 200m. Spektral provides a unique technology within intelligent image processing in videos. It’s unusual for Apple to make acquisitions in Scandinavia which emphasizes Spektral’s product.

Stark acquires Swedish DIY market Bygg-Ole (Finans)

The Danish DIY Market chain Stark has acquired the Swedish company Bygg-Ole. The price is undisclosed. Bygg-Ole will be a part of Stark’s Swedish chain Beijer Byggmaterial. Stark was acquired by the Private Equity fund Lone Star in 2017 and they now implemented its expansion strategy.

IPC acquires BlackPearl Ressources for USD 623m (Press Release)

Swedish International Petroleum Corp (IPC)  has acquired all outstanding shares in BlackPearl for CAD 1.85 per share which equals a total of approx. CAD 623m. The announced Enterprise Value of BlackPearl is USD 1.63 bn. The acquisition still needs approval from shareholders in IPC and BlackPearl.

Vattelfall sells heating plant to someone in Hamburg for SEK 6.5bn (DI)

Hamburg City has exercised an option from 2014 to acquire the city’s district heating system from Vattenfall. Hamburg City pays Vattenfall approx. SEK 6.5bn. Vattenfall owned almost 75 pct of the city district heating prior to the deal. After the deal, Hamburg City will be sole owner.  

SBB acquires community properties for SEK 289m (Press Release)

SBB, a Nordic community building company, has announced an acquisition of two community properties in Höganäs in Sweden. The acquired properties consists of 152 locations and have an annual rental income of approx. SEK 14m.

B2Holding acquires Nordea’s non-performing loan portfolio (Press Release)

Norwegian listed company B2Holding's Danish subsidiary Nordic Debt Collection has acquired Nordea's non-performing loan portfolio. It consists of 12,000 clients and a total debt of EUR 338m. Nordea expects to earn EUR 35-45 m in cash from the deal.

Altor will make Rossignol and Dale of Norway world leading (DN)

Altor has stated that they will spend NOK 2bn on making Rossignol and Dale of Norway world leading. Rossignol will move production facilities to Dale’s plant in Norway. Altor strategically divested 20 % of Rossignol to Chinese investor, IDG Capital in June to pursuit a profitable Rossignol prior to Beijing’s Winter Olympics in 2022 and to enter the growing chinese skiing market.

Vapo subsidiary joint ventures with Dutch BVB Substrate (Kauppalehti)

The subsidiary Kekkilä in Vapo’s Grow & Care division joint ventures with Dutch company BVB Substrates to create a professional aquaculture and amateur gardening company. The company will be the most versatile player in the European market. Vapo will own 30 % of the shares and BVB Substrate owner family the rest. The new company expects to have a turnover of EUR 240m and employ 500 people.
