Hugo Games A/S acquires US based 5th Planet Games (Press Release)

Danish Hugo Games is in the process of acquiring the Sacramento-based game developer 5th Planet Games. The price of acquiring 5th Planet Games will be approximately USD 1.2m. The acquired company have had a revenue stream of between USD 60,000 and USD 80,000 a month in 2018. That's approximately twice as much as the current revenue of Hugo Games, which means that Hugo Games' revenue will triple in size when merged with 5th Planet Games.

Falck looking to divest another non-core business area (Borsen)

Just a few weeks ago, Falck sold off the business area Safety Services to the PE firm, Polaris. Now Falck has hired Nordea Corporate Finance to find a potential buyer for the business area called Staffing. According to Borsen’s sources, Falck will be able to cash in around DKK 500m if successfully sold. The healthcare division, in which Staffing belongs to had a turnover growth to DKK 2.8bn in 2017. However, earnings (EBITDA) took a downturn from DKK 168m in 2016 to DKK 101m last year.

EQT Infrastructure to merge Broadnet and GlobalConnect (Borsen)

EQT has announced the intention to combine EQT Infrastructure’s portfolio companies Broadnet Holding AS and GlobalConnect A/S, to create a leading Northern European fiber-based datacom provider and supplier of cloud enabling infrastructure. Last year, the two companies had combined revenues of approximately EUR 310 million and an EBITDA of EUR 110 million. GlobalConnect was acquired by EQT in February 2017, while Broadnet was acquired by the fund in May 2018.

Rootfruit Scandinavia AB acquires Exotic Snacks AB (Press release)

As a step towards a Nordic product leadership in premium snacks, Rootfruit has completed the acquisition of Exotic Snacks AB. The new group's sales pro forma 2017 amounted to approximately SEK 266m in 2017 with EBITDA of approximately SEK 8m. The purchase price for Exotic Snacks amounts to SEK 60m, of which SEK 20m is paid in cash and the remainder with shares in Rootfruit Scandinavia AB. The Board estimates that there are at least SEK 5m annually in synergies to realize in a single year's perspective at the current sales level.

Gunnar Karlsen Sverige AB with triple acquisition in Stockholm (Rorfag)

Gunnar Karlsen Sverige AB already has major market share in the Stockholm region within ventilation installation. GK now establishes its pipeline business in the Stockholm region through the acquisition of Täby Rör AB, Rörcompaniet AB and US Rörteknik AB. The three acquired companies in Stockholm has a combined annual turnover of around SEK 230m. The three companies have approximately 100 employees combined. The companies will continue as separate entities.

Golden Ocean looking for acquisitions (Hegnar)

Golden Ocean (publ) is looking for acquisition opportunities, but will not make any purchases if it’s at the expense of the the ability to pay dividends. "We are looking at opportunities now, but will focus on taking advantage of a good market," said Birgitte Vartdal during the Pareto Oil & Offshore conference.
