Orkila Capital acquires 40% of Tinderbox and Northside Festival (Fyens)
Down the Drain Holding, the company behind Tinderbox in Odense, Northside in Aarhus and Haven in Copenhagen, has sold 40 percent of the company's shares to the American PE-firm Orkila Capital. The plan is to secure the Danish festivals and utilize the company's festival expertise to seek new business opportunities abroad. The price is undisclosed.
PFA Looking for large foreign acquisitions (Borsen)
After large investments in Nykredit and TDC is PFA now looking for new acquisitions abroad. According to the managing director of PFA, Allan Polack is the strategy to have a time horizon of around 8-10 years for the upcoming investments.

EQT acquires majority stake in Dunlop Protective Footwear (Press Release)
EQT's Mid Market Europe fund announces that it is acquiring a majority stake in Dunlop Protective Footwear from its current owner Gilde Equity Management Benelux (GEM) for an undisclosed amount. GEM will remain a significant shareholder and will continue to support the growth plans of the Company in close cooperation with EQT and Management.
Sandvik acquires French Metrologic Group for EUR 360M (Realtid)
In line with Sandvik's strategic agenda to broaden their Machining Solutions' customer offering in digital manufacturing, Sandvik acquires the French software company Metrologic Group from Astorg Partners at a price of EUR 360M. Metrologic group is the market leader in agnostic software for measurement technology.

American VC fund invests in Norwegian indie developer (E24)
Henchman & Goon, an independent game studio based in Bergen, Norway, recently announced that Altered Ventures, a Venture Capital fund based in Silicon Valley, has invested NOK 3.2M in their upcoming game, Pode. This is the first time a Norwegian game studio has received Altered Ventures funding for a project.
