Abacus Medicine is preparing for possible IPO in 2018 (Borsen)

Abacus Medicine supplies original prescription medicine in Europe through parallel import. In 2017 revenues grew 42% compared to 2016's 59%. The company is now looking to tap into the markets for unregistered drugs and the supply of pharmaceuticals for clinical trials, which are two markets with a total global value of more than DKK 50b. In order to do this, the company needs to raise funds and are highly considering an IPO in the near future according to Borsen.

Vitec Software Group acquires Danish software company Cito IT. (Realtid)

Vitec Software Group strengthens its Nordic position in Vertical Software by acquiring all of the shares in the Danish software company Cito IT A/S. Cito IT delivers software for the pharmacy market in Denmark. The company had a turnover of DKK 25.5m with an EBITDA result of DKK 7.6m for the financial year 2016/17.

Alcadon Group completes the acquisition of CableCom AS (Cision)

Alcadon has completed the acquisition of CableCom and the integration work has begun. CableCom Group reported a turnover of NOK 93.4m in 2017 and a profit before tax of NOK 8.0m. The purchase price amounts to SEK 45m in cash on the day of admission plus a share issue of 437,500 shares in Alcadon, which has a market value of SEK 20m. The acquisition of CableCom significantly increases the presence of Alcadon in Norway.

Duroc acquires Universal Power (Realtid)

The industrial group Duroc acquires the engineering company Universal Power Nordic (UPN). In 2017 UPN had sales of SEK 130m with operating profit of SEK 6m. The Company currently has 40 employees in Sweden and Norway. The acquisition strengthens the performance in Duroc's industrial trade business area, which, including UPN, approaches an annual turnover of SEK 500m.

Adelis becomes new majority owner in Hantverksdata (Press release)

Hantverksdata has successfully grown and developed its business in the Nordic region over many years. The company is now strengthening its ownership structure by bringing in Adelis as a majority owner in order to entrench its position as the leading ERP provider in the Nordic Region focused on the building services industry. Hantverksdata has around 4,000 corporate customers and 35,000 users.

CapMan invests in equipment company RealMachinery (Talouselama)

CapMan Growth Equity has made a 20% stake investment in RealMachinery Oy. Net sales of RealMachinery Group were EUR 65m in the latest financial year and the company currently employs approximately 100 professionals. With the help of CapMan Growth Equity investment, the company is expanding to the Nordics and aims to strengthen its position in the leasing and financing market.

Bridgepoint’s portfolio company Evac Acquires Cathelco (Cision)

Evac, a leading supplier of marine, offshore and construction integrated waste, sewage and water treatment systems, acquires Cathelco. The acquisition enables Evac to expand its cleantech solution portfolio with new systems and open up new business opportunities for ballast water treatment systems. During the fiscal year 2016/2017, Cathelco's sales amounted to EUR 31m. This means that the acquisition will increase the Evac Group's net sales by 30 percent, from EUR 105 million to EUR 136 million.
