Tictail, a Swedish tech company that offers a combination between a DIY e-commerce platform and a social shopping experience for buyers, has been acquired by its much larger, NYSE-listed competitor Shopify. Tictail have since 2012 raised close to USD 33m in funding from sponsors including Balderton Capital, Thrive Capital, Creandum and Project A. In 2017 Tictail reported sales of SEK 25m with EBIT of SEK -45.5m.
