Telia sells its stake in Azercell

Nordic telecom operator Telia has sold its 51.3 percent stake in the Azerbaijan mobile operator Azercell, which it co-owned with Turkcell. Azerbaijan International Telecom LLC, which is owned by the Republic of Azerbaijan has bought the total amount of shares in Azercell from Turkcell and Fintur Holdings for EUR 222m. Telia currently has a 58.55 percent ownership in Fintur Holdings.
