Wirecard Austria sold to German PE firm

Wirecard Austria was sold to the German PE firm Aurin Investment Group on Tuesday. This was announced by the insolvency administrator Ulla Reisch. Wirecard Central Eastern Europe, based in Graz, processes payments for various customers, such as the lotteries and the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). According to Handelsblatt, the price is just under EUR 4m. Aurin intends to maintain the company's operations with the existing team at the Graz site. In the future it will operate under the name QENTA again.
